Water is perhaps THE most critical policy issue in New Mexico. Without enough clean, available water, our economy, health, environment, and overall population suffers. The topic is far-reaching and complex, as we saw in 2013 with periods of extreme drought followed by unusually heavy rains.

New meeting location: The meeting location for September through December is UNMLA. Please watch your email for building/room numbers. Each of our open meetings is at 7 p.m. the first Wednesday of the month: Oct. 2, Nov. 6, Dec. 4. Call Mark Jones at 505-662-9443 for more information.
Throughout the coming months, we will be discussing issues such as: eliminating plastic bags in Los Alamos, water and power production, energy storage, the Valles Caldera, and solar energy.
