Western Wilderness Conference
4 pm April 8 to Noon April 11
Berkeley, California.
The conference, sponsored by the Sierra Club & the California Wilderness Coalition will bring grassroots wilderness advocates together from across the country at the University of California in Berkeley.
It’s time to launch the next round of western wilderness campaigns – building on the success of the 2009 Omnibus Public Land Management Act. It's been a long time since wildlands enthusiasts from throughout the country have gathered together to inspire each other, share experiences, share issues with our land management agencies, and empower and train a new generation of activists to safeguard the West’s wild places.
Nearly 50 workshops, led by the nation’s most effective advocates, will teach you tools and strategies to strengthen your local campaigns. Whether you're a long time activist, or new to environmental advocacy, you’ll discover both tools and inspiration.
Online registration and more info about this exciting event is available through their website at http://westernwilderness.org .
